Transforming your furniture with paint!

Paint!  It's amazing how with just some paint you can turn an ugly duckling into something beautiful!
I have a few pieces of furniture that I am planning on painting and have been looking around at all my favourite blogs to find some inspiration and ideas.  I thought I would share them with you too!

Here are just a few of my favourites:

Barb over at Hodge:Podge re-invented the Ikea rast dresser using silver leaf and paint.  Amazing!
Laura from Top This Top That turned an old pedestal table from "Drab to Fab" using chalk paint.
Jesse from Good Girl Gone Glad transformed a cabinet she's had for 7 years by painting it and using a stencil pattern she downloaded online for free!
Jen from iheart organizing kept to her budget to create herself a workstation.  She took her living room console table, added glamour with  white paint and glass knobs and it became her desk.
Mallory and Savannah over at Classy Clutter painted this freebie dresser into something elegant and beautiful...you won't believe what it looked like before!
Ashli over at Mini Manor not only used paint to create a white desk, she actually used an old laundry cabinet that she had kicking around, added a table top to it and voila she made herself a desk!
DaNita over at Delightful Order transformed this cute little side table with 3 cans of spray paint!
Jeralyn over at Lemonade completely changed the look of her wooden kitchen cabinets.
Lindsay over at Southern Lovely took a $20 thrift store find and painted it a bright, lovely yellow for her daughter's room.  She has vision...when I saw the before picture I was shocked!
Jaime Lyn over at Crafty Scrappy Happy did an amazing job refinishing this old dining room table (that had been sitting outside at her mother in-laws!) and painted the 4 chairs.  Just love this.
Carrie over at Lovely etc. picked up this little cabinet at a yard sale and completely made it her own.
Kate over at Centsational Girl gives a great tutorial on how to paint using two tones.
Marina over at Yummy Mummy Kitchen completely changed a basic wooden coffee table she found on Craigslist into a stylish and modern bench.  All she used was paint and fabric.
Lynda at Focal Point Styling refinished a 10 year old rattan patio set in espresso.
